On April 30, 2021, under the leadership of teacher Fang Peng and Teacher Hu Jing, a total of 41 students from junior and senior high School of Tsinghua Astronomy Association went to Huahai Garden, Yanqing District, Beijing for astronomical observation。The Astronomical Association carried out a number of contents such as star gazing, sun watching and outing, which enhanced the astronomical knowledge of the members and enriched the outing experience of the association. The activities were a complete success。

In the preliminary preparation, all the members overcame the difficulties such as tight time and complicated preparation content, and successfully completed the equipment debugging, activity declaration and pre-observation training, ensuring that the observation activities were carried out on schedule。

In the early morning of April 30, light rain fell and the sky remained cloudy until the morning, but the sky was fair and cleared up in the evening, providing excellent astronomical observation conditions。Under the direction of the president, members orderly load the equipment and sign in。After the leading teacher stressed the observation discipline and precautions, the club started on time and arrived at the observation site 30 minutes earlier。After the preparations were completed, the members began to observe the quiet and beautiful night sky。

For many students, it was the first time they had seen such a magnificent sky。Faint constellations glimmer out of the night, and bright stars paint a more spectacular picture。

Under the leadership of the president, we traveled from the Big Dipper to the spring triangle, and our eyes followed the green light bridge of the star pen to review the beautiful legend above the stars, and the knowledge we had talked about in the club course seemed more vivid and moving。Subsequently, with the solidarity and cooperation of the members, the calibration work of the Cinda Small Black Reflector telescope and the 8SE folding trans telescope was successfully completed, and the members were able to use the telescope to enjoy the beautiful night sky。

At about 22:30 p.m., the moon rose in the southern forest, and the red veil became the focus of the audience。Many members also helped each other successfully start their own astrophotography journey, and took a lot of beautiful photos。

At 1:30 am, as the night humidity gradually increased, students began to return to their rooms and wait for the satellite to cross the border。Two hours later, the bright International Space Station crossed the night sky under the gaze of the members, marking a perfect end to the astronomical observation。

The next morning, the two teachers organized the students to use special equipment to observe the sun and see the details of the sun from a new perspective。

The beautiful clouds floating in the sky made the countryside more pleasant, and the students used time-lapse photography to record this rare beauty。Some students went on excursions nearby to experience the beautiful life in the countryside。

At 3 PM on May 1, all the members returned safely to the campus of the Affiliated High School, and the activity was successfully completed。This activity left an unforgettable stargazing experience for the students and enriched their astronomical field observation experience。Thanks to the school, teachers, Huahai Farm staff and parents for their concern and help, I hope the following observation activities can achieve more fruitful results。
